Subject: [Forskbib-l] Webinar om fysisk materiale styring

Kære forhenværende kolleger i forskbib verdenen,

mvh

Ken Chad, Helle Lauridsen, and Colin Carter will discuss the on-going challenge faced by academic libraries of managing the conflicting demands on the physical space in the library. In the COVID and post-COVID era, this challenge has been exacerbated by the need for social distancing and the introduction of higher levels of contactless service delivery. They will also discuss how IMMS™ and other automation solutions can help academic libraries manage the conflict between the need to create space for their users and the need to curate and make available their valuable print collections.

Ken Chad helps libraries, information services and archives more effective. Ken works with libraries, archives, universities, local and central government, sector bodies, and businesses. He helps with strategy, user experience, understanding needs, business models, value propositions and innovation. He also reviews services and helps libraries procure new technology solutions.

IMMS™ gives libraries control of collection, space, and float management. IMMS™ complements your existing ILS and creates an unprecedented level of transparency in your material flow. Utilizing new tools for data collection, items can be tracked to the shelf, shelving cart, transport bin, or storage location.
