Jeg tillader mig at sende denne lille reklame for et webinar jeg har planlagt til den 16/2 kl 15, jeg skal interviewes af Ken Chad (som man har kunnet møde på talerstolen på flere international konferencer) om fysisk materialestyring i forskningsbibliotekerne.
Selvom man i dag bruger størstedelen af budgetterne på e-materialer, så bliver der stadig købt fysiske bøger - og de gamle bliver stadig brugt. Men der er ikke sket meget udvikling i systemerne der håndterer de fysiske materialer: vi er stadig afhængige af
bibliotekssystemer hvis rødder ligger i det forrige årtusinde og hvor langt den største udvikling har været rundt om styring af e-materialer og katalog data. Håndteringen af fysiske materialer kræver stadig papirlister, elastikker og lapper i de enkelte eksemplarer.
Og det er stadig svært at finde plads på hylderne til returnerede bøger når semestret er forbi. I er velkomne til at høre med om hvad de største danske folkebiblioteker har gjort for at løse deres fysiske materiale styringsproblemer og hvordan det kan bruges
også af akademiske biblioteker.<br>
