Gode kollegaer!
IFLA-komiteen eg sit i, FAIFE (Advisory Committee on Freedom of Access to Information and Freedom of Expression) skal i samarbeid med MLAS (Management of Library Associations) arrangere eit webinar om sensur og manglande tilgang til informasjon i vid forstand. Webinaret heiter  «Rescuing our world from the harms of censorship : Providing access to information in unprecedented times»

Dette er eit webinar som er ope for alle, og vi håper at fleire vil sjå dette som nyttig og interessant.  4. oktober er ein dag i «Banned Book Week» i USA som blir markert kvart år av ALA (American Library Association). Banned books i USA omfattar mellom anna bøker vi ser på som klassikarare, og som ein naturleg del av den amerikanske og verdas litterære kanon. Vi finn både «To kill a Mockingbird», «Huckleberry Finn» og mange andre i denne «Banned books»-kategorien.
