Dear colleagues,

Feel free to share with your colleagues for them to be aware of library advocacy at the United Nations.

Great to share that IFLA is present at the United Nations High Level Political Forum on the Sustainable Development Goals in New York this week and next week.

An IFLA delegation with librarians from different regions will be on-site this coming week presenting programs and attending meetings. See article here:

The first program took place this past Thursday, July 7- I was delighted to join other librarians and professionals from other industries on that panel. I was asked to speak about case-studies of libraries as cultural institutions being integrated into local development strategies at the @unitednations #HLPF2022 side program "From local perspectives to global principles: drawing lessons from local integration of culture in #SDG implementation to help build back better globally" presented by global partners including IFLA and @culture21
