Karmøy folkebibliotek er det tredje største biblioteket i Rogaland. Vi har 10 stillinger på hovedbiblioteket i Kopervik, og en full stilling på hver av filialene i Åkrehamn, Skudeneshavn og på Norheim. Biblioteket bruker biblioteksystemet Bibliofil, og er fullautomatisert
med utlån- og innleveringsautomater, RFID brikker og alarmportaler. Vi har meråpne bibliotek på alle avdelinger, og er dermed enda mer tilgjengelig for publikum.</p>

Vi har mange samarbeidspartnere og jobber aktivt med formidling ut i skoler og barnehager og vi deltar på SILK-festivalen. Karmøy folkebibliotek nå en ledig en fast 100% stilling som bibliotekar på vår avdeling i Skudeneshavn. Stillingen innebærer rullering
en dag i uka til hovedbiblioteket i Kopervik. I stillingen inngår kvelds- og lørdagsturnus, og det må påregnes kveldsarbeid ifm. arrangement. </p>
