Dear Colleagues,

The United Nations Dag Hammarskjöld Library would like to invite you to a virtual panel discussion, "A Right to Read without being Read: Data Collection and the Scholarly Record," scheduled for Thursday, 25 January from 9.30 a.m. - 11.00a.m. ET.

The right to privacy is a fundamental human right recognized in article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, article 17 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and other international and regional human rights instruments. But what does privacy look like in the digital age?

This online event will convene expert panelists to discuss data privacy concerns of those who engage with the scholarly publishing ecosystem, whether they are researchers, editors, reviewers, or readers from across the globe.
